Location:
Belgrade, Serbia
Year:
2025
Team:
petougao (Miloš Kostić, Aleksandra Đorđević, Ana Zorić) with Mladen Pešić and Aleksandra Milovanović
Awards:
Honorary Mention
The competition entry proposes a new residential and cultural district within the protected grounds of the former film city in Belgrade. At its core are new housing models closely interwoven with a cultural quarter and flexible programmes that can adapt over time. The project is based on the careful renewal of the existing building fabric, aiming to preserve as many structures as possible while upgrading them to contemporary ecological standards. Following principles of circular construction, the design minimises demolition and material waste, and reduces impact on the mature tree stock and existing green landscape, ensuring that the site’s character is preserved and strengthened.

BUDVA HORIZON
International urban–architectural competition for the “Budvanska Školjka” waterfront promenade
Location: Budva, Montenegro
Year: 2023
Team: petougao (Miloš Kostić, Aleksandra Đorđević, Ana Zorić) with Mladen Pešić and Aleksandra Milovanović
Awards:
3rd Prize, competition
1st Prize, International Salon of Urbanism, Niš (Architectural Competitions, 2023)
The competition brief focused on a key section of the Budva waterfront, understood as the city’s main corridor of cultural, leisure and informational activities. The project operates across four interrelated environments: the water area, the beach, the green belt and the promenade, proposing a coherent framework for a new urban identity for Budva. Developed as four distinct yet interconnected spatial ambiences, the design is tied together programmatically and spatially through six narrative sequences that work across different scales, from everyday use to large public events. The proposal was awarded Third Prize in the international competition and First Prize in the “Architectural Competitions” category at the International Salon of Urbanism in Niš, Serbia, in 2023.

NEW PHILHARMONIC BUILDING
Urban–architectural competition for the new Philharmonic building in Block 13, New Belgrade
Location: Belgrade, Serbia
Year: 2016
Team: Miloš Kostić, Maja Morošan, Nemanja Halilović
The building is in the park, and the park is in the building. The proposal imagines the new Philharmonic as an open landscape built over the unrealised foundations of the Museum of the Revolution, transforming this latent structure into a public roof and collective civic terrace in dialogue with the Park of Friendship. A continuous layer of red glass, complementary to the surrounding greenery, creates a distinct spatial phenomenon in which colour, materiality and tectonics intensify the experience of the site.

MoCAB PAVILLION: CRYSTAL, CANOPY AND LINE
Museum of Contemporary Arts Pavilion and Extension Competition
Location: Belgrade, Serbia
Year: 2021
Team: petougao (Miloš Kostić, Aleksandra Đorđević, Ana Zorić) with Dejan Todorović and Irina Živković
Exhibited:
STRAND 2022,
Balkan Architectural Biennale 2022
Salon of Architecture in Belgrade 2022
The museum’s architecture occupies the threshold between green (the park) and blue (the sky), while the new pavilion appears as a light, curved line – an unobtrusive background that amplifies the presence of the “crystal” volume. In contrast to the museum’s monumental mass, which operates on the scale of the city, the pavilion acts as a mediator with the immediate park environment at a micro scale. Subtle ground interventions, the imprinting of the pavilion into the soil, the framing and filtering of views through a transparent membrane, and the tactility of materials guide movement and compose a sequence of distinct spatial episodes.

BORINO VRANJE
The Old Town Complex and Urban revitalisation in Tulbe Settlement in Vranje
Location: Vranje, Serbia
Year: 2019
Team: Miloš Kostić, Aleksandra Đorđević, Ana Zorić,
Jelena Basta, Jovana Bugarski, Nikola Arsić
Awards:
1st Prize, competition
Special Mention, Novi Sad Architecture Salon 2020 (Competition Projects)
The project for the “Tulbe” old town complex proposes the reactivation of a neglected public zone whose once-clear role and spatial coherence have gradually dissolved over time. Drawing on contemporary research into non-functional and derelict urban spaces, the design treats existing fragmentation and decay as a resource, foregrounding historical layers, the patina of age and emblematic local elements. Through a series of precise spatial and programmatic interventions, the proposal aims to restore everyday intensity and offer a renewed urban identity for this forgotten part of Vranje.

COMMON ROOM
Competition for the design of the urban design of the urban pockets Nova Mesta in Novi Sad
Location: Novi Sad, Serbia
Year: 2018
Team: Miloš Kostić, Ana Zorić, Dušica Pašič. Dezire Tilinger
Awards:
1st Prize, competition award
The project reinterprets an undefined urban pocket as a scenographic environment for everyday life. Instead of formalizing the space as a square, the intervention frames it as an open-air living room, a shared setting for gathering, interaction, and collective presence within the neighborhood.
Through a system of modular seating elements, soft surfaces, and a distinctive color strategy, the space becomes both functional and performative. The arrangement allows for constant reconfiguration, enabling different social scenarios and user groups to shape the spatial experience over time.
The integration of a large-scale mural and bold chromatic identity reinforces the perception of the site as a recognizable stage within the urban fabric. Positioned between domestic intimacy and public exposure, the project transforms everyday use into a continuous spatial performance.
